, RLA, is director of the at the Spitzer School and principal of Hoffman Brandt Projects, LLC. Selected speculative design research projects have focused on refugee camps (鈥淩elief Organism鈥 in The Right to Landscape, Ashgate Press, 2011), carbon storage infrastructure (City Sink, Oscar Riera Ojeda, 2013), and climate-adaptive infrastructure (Waterproofing New York, co-edited with Catherine Seavitt Nordenson, Urban Research, 2014). Critical writing includes 鈥淭he Body in the Library, or a Blood Meridian鈥 (Journal of Landscape Architecture, March 2018), which discusses the role speculative practices can play in adapting the discipline of landscape architecture to dynamic socioenvironmental forces.
