Talk show host and author eponymous daily program is coming to , the City College of New York owned and operated radio station dubbed 鈥淭he Voice of Harlem.鈥
WHCR will be the only station in New York City carrying the weekend edition of the Tavis Smiley Show. It will broadcast 6 鈥 8 p.m. on Sundays.
鈥淭he Tavis Smiley show will offer WHCR listeners news and information on a national level, which fits perfectly in with WHCR鈥檚 mission to keep its listeners informed,鈥 said Angela Harden, the station鈥檚 general manager. 鈥淟isteners across the country can tune in to the Tavis Smiley show at . WHCR is one of four new markets the nationally syndicated Smiley show -- which features newsmakers, influencers, authors, artists, activists, and entrepreneurs -- is expanding to. in Washington D.C., in Milwaukee, and in Des Moines are the others.
In less than six months of national syndication, the show has successfully secured spots in the nation鈥檚 top three media markets - #1 (New York City), #2 (Los Angeles) and #3 (Chicago).
