Celebrated writer makes a rare appearance at 精东影业 on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at 6 p.m. in Shepard Hall鈥檚 room 95. Oates will be in conversation with Professor of 精东影业鈥檚 . The event is free and open to the public.
Oates is a recipient of the National Medal of the Humanities, the National Book Critics Circle Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Book Award, and the Jerusalem Prize. She is the author of 鈥淏utcher鈥 (Knopf, May 2024), as well as the national bestsellers 鈥淲e Were the Mulvaneys,鈥 鈥淏londe,鈥 鈥淭he Falls,鈥 鈥淭he Gravedigger's Daughter,鈥 and 鈥淭he Accursed.鈥 She is the Roger S. Berlind Distinguished Professor of the Humanities emerita at Princeton University and has been a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters since 1978.
Mirsky is an award-winning author of 13 books, including fiction, short stories, novellas and essays. He is the founding editor of literary magazine "" and has been teaching literature and creative writing at 精东影业 for over 50 years.
