172nd Commencement Ceremony Of The City College Of New York
Please join us as ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ celebrates our annual all-graduate commencement on May 30, 2025.
This year, in addition to our main commencement event on Friday, May 30, 2025, we will also host Graduate-Level events, including a Ph.D. hooding ceremony, on May 28, 2025, in the Great Hall of Shepard Hall.
City College, originally known as The Free Academy, held its first Commencement in 1853 with a graduating class of just 17, and we continue to adhere to the history — and the stage set by those first graduates in 1853.
We salute the graduates from all the different schools and divisions of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, and we look forward to seeing them follow in the footsteps of thousands of alumni who have made a difference in the community, the city, the country, and the world.
