2025 Primary Election

Dear Members and Friends of the City College Community:

Tuesday, June 24, 2025 is Primary Election Day.

The following offices are included in this election:

• Mayor
• Public Advocate
• Comptroller
• Borough President
• City Council
• District Attorney
• Supreme Court and Civil Court Judges

Poll sites are open from 6:00 am - 9:00 pm. .

Early voting period for the Primary Election is Saturday, June 14, 2025 - Sunday, June 22, 2025

NY registered voters can vote by:

• Early Mail / Absentee Ballot Voting
  • Apply by June 14, 2025. You may also apply in-person at your county board of elections through June 23.
  • Return your completed absentee ballot by mail (postmarked by June 24, 2025) or drop to your Early Voting and/or Election Day sites by June 24 at 9:00 pm.
• Vote in-person during the Early Voting period and on Election Day
  • Find your location.

Election and Voting Dates

Register to Vote - Forms and Resources

An accessible version of the New York State Voter Registration Form is available online. Completed forms must be printed, signed, dated, and mailed to the county board of elections.

Who Can Register to Vote?

• To be eligible to register to vote you must:
• Be a U.S. citizen (including anyone born in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam) or be a naturalized U.S. citizen (a foreign-born individual who is granted citizenship by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services);
• Be a New York resident for at least 30 days prior to an election;
• Be 18 years old by December 31 of the year in which you file a form (note: you must be 18 years old by the date of the general, primary or other election in which you want to vote) ;
• Not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction (unless parolee pardoned or restored rights of citizenship);
• Not be adjudged mentally incompetent by a court;
• Not claim the right to vote elsewhere

You also need to register to vote if:

• You have changed your address since the last time you voted or registered to vote;
• You wish to change your party affiliation;
• You have changed your name since last voting
