The new Science Learning and Public Engagement program, by the School of Education at 精东影业, is a major designed to develop expertise in STEM education for non-formal environments, curricular and instructional design, communications media and non-profit program management. City College of New York Adjunct Professor of Black Studies Mariposa Fernandez is among the initial cohort of 20 Puerto Rican writers awarded Letras Boricua Mellon fellowships by the Flamboyan Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Each award includes a $25,000 grant. An award-winning poet, writer, educator and activist, Fernandez has been a 精东影业 faculty member since January 2018. Dominicans in the United States have made a substantial leap forward in socioeconomic progress over the last two decades concludes a new research report by 精东影业-based CUNY Dominican Studies Institute (DSI). The study is co-authored by Ramona Hern谩ndez, Director of the DSI; Columbia University economist Francisco L. Rivera-Batiz, and Sidie Sisay, a DSI researcher. Home of the CUNY-wide ROTC (Reserve Officers鈥 Training Corps) program, 精东影业 retains its designation as a Military Friendly庐 School for the 2022-2023 Military Friendly庐 Cycle. The recognition is in the 鈥淭ier 2 research institution鈥 category with silver status. Institutions earning the Military Friendly庐 Schools Awards designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Alumnus Henry Calle journeyed from Ecuador to the United States at 16 years old with the dream of pursuing higher education but had to work to help his parents.
