Time to Degree Completion for Students Entering the Program

Incoming students are now able to complete their coursework in three, rather than four years. This allows students to concentrate on their dissertations in the fourth year. Students are expected to select dissertation mentors by the end of their third year, and must have an approved dissertation proposal prior to applying for internship.

Please see the following tables for detailed information about time to completion, program costs, internship match rates, and program attrition.

Also, please describe or provide a link to program admissions policies that allow students to enter with credit for prior graduate work, and the expected implications for time to completion. Please indicate NA if not applicable:

Up to 15 credits can be transferred in from other accredited Master's Programs in Psychology at the discretion of the DCT. Those students who transfer in 15 credits receive a drop in their tuition a full semester earlier and have greater control over the number of courses they take in years 2-4 of the Program. This may indirectly lead to a slightly more rapid graduation date for some of these students.

Program Costs

Thanks to the remarkable generous contributions of both private donors and alumni, the Clinical Program provides financial aid based on need to its admitted students. We make it a top priority to work with you in providing some combination of stipends, work study, teaching assistantships, and in your later years of the Program, Clinical Fellowship. Students interested in financial aid will be asked to complete a financial aid form each year. Should you be invited to interview for the Program, please feel free to contact our Program Director, Steve Tuber, to discuss your financial aid situation.
