" No Home Movie," a motion picture directed by City College of New York Distinguished Lecturer and renowned filmmaker Chantal Akerman, has been selected for the 53rd New York Film Festival. It makes its U.S. premiere at the Film Society of Lincoln Center Oct. 7-8. Mehedi Mondal鈥檚 early years were challenging. Born in Brooklyn four weeks after his Bangladeshi immigrant parents arrived in New York, his father drove a cab while his mother worked as a cashier.Thanks to a City College of New York President鈥檚 Community Scholarship, Mondal, now a Bronx resident, is the first in his family to attend college. For the third straight year, 精东影业 is partnering with Harlem Hospital Center in maintaining the community鈥檚 preparedness for any large-scale disaster. Today, City College of New York faculty staff and students joined millions of Americans and people around the world in somber remembrance of the 9/11 attacks.On campus, members of the City College community gathered in the Quad to honor those killed on that tragic day 14 years ago.
