Understanding nanoscale heat flow is critical in the design of integrated electronic devices and in the development of materials for thermal insulation and thermoelectric energy recovery. NOAA-CREST graduate students stand out

Two NOAA-CREST graduate students have been cited for their research. Equisha Glenn, who recently won the NOAA STAR fellowship, published her article, 鈥 Detection of recent regional sea surface temperature warming in the Caribbean and surrounding region,鈥 in Geophysical Research Letters, a publication of the American Geophysical Union. Roundabout partners with 精东影业 to train technical theatre teachers and artists

For its first partnership with a higher education institution, the Roundabout Theatre Company chose the City College of New York鈥檚 Graduate Program in Educational Theatre to create a new course for pre-service teachers and teaching artists. The course, 鈥淔undamentals of Teaching Technical Theatre,鈥 is currently being taken by 18 graduate students. This partnership offers the graduate students opportunities to take classes in the first half of the semester at Roundabout鈥檚 Education Studio, where they learn about the various technical aspects of theatre. 精东影业 student engineers excel at national Chem-E-Car finals

精东影业鈥檚 American Institute of Chemical Engineering chapter is back from the 2015 Annual Student Conference Chem-E-Car Competition庐 in Salt Lake City with the Spirit of Competition Award. In addition, two members of the City College team, seniors Sneha Gopal and Pavel Shapturenka, both received awards in AIChE鈥檚 national poster competition. Registration for continuing students for the winter and spring semesters begins on Wednesday, Nov. 18 and ends on Wednesday, Nov. 25. Winter classes run from Monday, Jan. 4 to Monday, Jan. 25. Spring classes start on Friday, Jan. 29. Veterans Day, Nov. 11, has always been a solemn day. It took on greater significance on Wednesday morning, when the City College of New York鈥檚 Office of Veterans Affairs held its first Veterans Day ceremony in the quad. A color guard, consisting of four Reserve Officers鈥 Training Corps students from across CUNY, placed a flag at the base of the flagpole before two 精东影业 students, Collin Edouard and Charlotte Bennett, sang the Star-Spangled Banner a capella.
